SkandJam 2002

is "History"

We gathered some fine musicians and performers for your entertainment and enjoyment. We hope that you enjoyed this grand and exciting weekend at Vasa Park, Budd Lake, NJ on 

Saturday, May 25th  & Sunday, May 26th 2002

Our plans included the following events:

SATURDAY:

Opening Parade 

Alspel event where we invite all musicians to join together to play a handful of pre planned songs. Everyone was invited to participate.

  • SAC - The Scandinavian Accordion Club of New York

  • Gammel Åker Spelmanslag - 9 member band from Norway

  • Peter "Puma" Hedlund - Champion Nyckelharpist from Sweden.

  • Jennifer Dreaper - Swedish American singer/guitarist from Westchester, NY

  • "Cajun" Wayne - Accordionist from Long Island

  • George Langberg - Swedish American singer/guitarist from Tuxedo, NY

  • Erik Vagen and Scandinavian Delights Band - from New Jersey

  • Odd-Tom Risdal - Norwegian Vocalist, often sung with Walter Eriksson in the 1960's.

  • Thor Erik Falke - Norwegian Guitarist

  • Acapelago Quartette - Swedish Singers

  • Howard Sisters - From New York

  • Marjamaan Pojat - Finnish musicians from Maryland

  • Ingrid Olsson Feingold - Vocalist from New York

  • Brittany Drago & Carol Purdy - Cellists from New York

  • Evening Dance

  • Swedish Massage

SUNDAY:

Memorial Service at 10 am
