Skandjam (Musikfest) back when . . .







Begun in 1994 as a commemoration to the life and talent of the great accordionist, Walter A. Eriksson, SkandJam is held on Memorial Day weekends and seeks to bring together talented musicians for a music festival that perpetuates Scandinavian music, folkdancing and crafts in a serene Northern New Jersey setting.

****The Swedish Folk Dancers of New York celebrated their 100th Anniversary in 2006 and traveled to Sweden in July, 2006, as part of the celebration. They participated in the Nordlek 2006 Folklore Festival ( Check out their webpage at Swedish Folkdancers of New York
